    Hansen Plastics is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician/Assistant Shift Leader to join our team on a 12-hour, Every Other Weekend (EOW) schedule. This unique schedule offers built-in personal time off, with up to half the month off, providing greater flexibility for work-life balance, personal time, hobbies, or rest.

    Job Description: Process Technician/Assistant Shift Leader

    Hansen Plastics is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician/Assistant Shift Leader to join our team on a 12-hour, Every Other Weekend (EOW) schedule. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining safety standards, and leading weekend production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a commitment to quality and operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    · Ensuring safety standards are followed

    · Verify that the press is cleared of previous job (materials, parts, etc.)

    · Complete mold setup in accordance with internal documentation

    · Verifying all materials are present per work order and ready for run start

    · Work with material handlers to ensure successful completion of startup

    · Program robots if applicable.

    · Conduct startup, completing paperwork and meeting Quality department requirements

    · Tag molds accordingly at the end of the run

    · Lead weekend production team

    · Completion of paperwork and entry of and tracking data in software program (IQMS)

    · Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience

    · Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in setting up injection molds, including 2-plate, 3-plate, hot runner, and unwinding core systems.

    · Minimum 3 years’ experience in the startup of injection molds using a scientifically developed universal process.

    · Minimum 3 years’ experience in setting up, programming, and troubleshooting auxiliary and support equipment including, Cartesian robots, thermolators, hot runner controllers, conveyors, etc.

    · Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in supervising teams in a manufacturing environment.

    · Must read and write English

    · Must possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.)

    · Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

    · Must pass physical, drug screening and participate in E-Verify

    Additional Qualifications Preferred

    · RJG, Paulson, Routsis, etc., scientific molding certifications.

    · Wittmann robotics experience and certifications.

    · Manufacturing supervision/management certifications/degrees.

    · Arburg and Toyo experience (hydraulic and toggle clamp).

    · Bilingual (English/Spanish).

    · Microsoft program experience (Outlook, Word, Excel).

    Position Schedule: 

    Day Shift: 6 AM to 6 PM

    Night Shift: 6 PM to 6 AM

    12-hour shift, and EOW (Every Other Weekend)

    Week 1: Tues, Weds, Thurs

    Week 2: Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun

    Quality Auditor

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production processes meet quality standards and are accurately documented. This role involves collaborating with Shift Leaders, Team Leaders, and Quality Engineers to address quality issues, close out production jobs, and reconcile discrepancies. The Quality Auditor will also manage quality alerts, ensure compliance with control plans, and verify that all products are production-ready. The Quality Auditor will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our production processes and upholding our commitment to high-quality standards.

    Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

    • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
    • Ensure the quality of the product.
    • Identify and segregate defective products from good products.
    • Work as a team member to achieve production and quality goals.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and share important information.
    • Participate in other projects and responsibilities as assigned to support operational efficiency and improvements.

    Daily Tasks (Include but are not limited to):

    • Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished goods for quality and compliance with specifications.
    • Measure products using calipers, micrometers, gages, scales, and other measurement equipment.
    • Visually inspect products for surface non-conformities or defects.
    • Follow appropriate control plans, work instructions, and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Disposition production and scrap using the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system.
    • Report scrap and follow the escalation process to address quality issues.
    • Attend various meetings, including shift, plant, huddle, and book club sessions, to stay updated and aligned with team goals.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

    Education/Qualification/Skills

    • Must have a minimum of three years inspection experience.
    • Must have basic math skills.
    • Must have a basic understanding of blueprints.
    • Must have knowledge of basic measurement instruments.
    • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Previous Quality Inspector experience; plastics experience preferred.
    • Injection molding experience is a plus.
    • CMM experience is a plus.
    • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
    • Ability to speak and write in English is required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must pass physical, drug screen and participate in E-verify.
